Job Description – Senior Manager - Finance Business Partnering
The Role
The Senior Manager- Finance Business Partnering, will support the company growth by managing the Company’s Clinic finance planning function, and help drive clinic and overall company financial performance.
Reporting to the VP Finance Business Partnering, this role will focus on being:
- A critical financial partner to the COO and Regional Leaders (“RL”), Field Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to drive clinic and overall Company growth and profitability.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for each individual clinic based on targets prepared by the Corporate FP&A team.
- Business Partnering:
- Act as a trusted advisor to Chief Operating Officer and Regional leadership team, providing financial expertise and strategic guidance.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand business needs and challenges.
- Work closely with operational teams to drive performance improvement and labour optimization initiatives.
- Support Joint Venture Partners on the financial performance of their clinics by providing a quarterly review process
- Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario planning.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Performance Management:
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor clinic performance and support decision-making.
- Lead efforts to identify and address financial risks and opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4 Senior Financial analysts
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
Background, Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Economics or related discipline
- CPA or CFA qualification required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance, with a focus on financial planning and analysis.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of key financial and operational drivers.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business partnerships.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis tools.
- You’re comfortable working in a pet friendly environment, when visiting the office
