Bilingual Corporate Development Senior Analyst

The Role
The Senior Analyst will report directly to the Vice President, M&A.
The Senior Analyst will support the development and execution of the mergers and acquisitions strategy by way of conducting valuations of acquisition opportunities, coordination of due diligence, performing financial analysis, assessing business performance / characteristics, and negotiating commercial contracts with various related and 3rd party partners.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end responsibility of mergers and acquisitions execution and deal structuring, including initial evaluation of acquisition opportunities and their strategic alignment, coordination of due diligence teams, financial analysis, assessment of business performance/characteristics, development of synergy plans, and commercial negotiations
- Build, update and maintain financial models relating to acquisition opportunities
- Provide go-forward action plans and recommendations based on model output
- Liaise with internal departments (HR, Operations, Integrations, Finance and FP&A) to coordinate and support change management and communication efforts for all strategic projects that impact our mergers and acquisitions strategy
- Liaise and maintain relationships with external parties (lawyers, accountants, brokers, valuation firms etc.) to coordinate and execute on strategic initiatives
- Working with the executive team to prepare PowerPoint presentations to support the mergers and acquisitions strategy
- Review the financial dashboards for our acquired assets and assist in developing and communicating action plans
- Continue to handle mergers and acquisitions deal related queries, ensuring we are up to date on market trends
Background, Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of previous accounting, finance experience
- CFA or CPA is a strong asset
- Must Be: 100% Bilingual (French)
- Advance Excel skills and modelling using Excel related tools
- Experience negotiating commercial contracts
- Clear thinking / problem solving to successfully lead cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement and able to quickly grasp new ideas
- Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively with all levels of management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, organize and report information
- Ability to work independently but as a part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- You’re comfortable working in a pet friendly environment, when visiting the office
