THE ROLE 

We are actively looking for an Intern Analyst, TLEM, to join our team for a 4-month (May 2025 – August 2025) internship. This role will be part of a growing and dynamic TLEM team, reporting into the Director, Trading, Liquidity and Exposure Management. The incumbent will be responsible for helping on a variety of projects, including setting up money market capabilities and building tools to help analyze daily cash and liquidity needs, FX trading, as well as monitoring the exposure to asset classes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a student to gain valuable work experience in a fast-growing, dynamic environment while being a part of a new pension plan.

This role is hybrid and based in downtown Toronto with Work-From-Home flexibility (~2-days in office).

 

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES 

Liquidity Management

  • Monitor and maintain liquidity and funding needs based on daily forecast
  • Provide support on various trading execution and activities

Exposure Management

  • Support derivative and repo activities by analyzing exposures and monitoring transactions

Currency Hedging

  • Assist in FX trading

Decision Support and Ad-Hoc Analysis

  • Perform analysis to support Trading activities, including exposure management, and building analytical capabilities
  • Develop and produce reporting on liquidity and exposure activities, monitor policy investment limits daily, anticipate trends, and proactively provide automation solutions

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS 

  • Recent graduate or currently pursuing a Masters degree, in Business, Commerce, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Excel VBA programming, Python and SQL
  • Possesses basic knowledge of and a keen interest in finance
