Job Purpose:
Trez Capital is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Associate, Asset Management (Equity) to play a pivotal role in maximizing the performance and value of our equity investments. This key position will focus on detailed cash flow modeling, performance analysis, and asset reporting, while also working closely with operating partners. The Senior Associate will support the entire investment lifecycle, from development to disposition, delivering essential insights that optimize returns and effectively manage risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and manage sophisticated asset management models to assess investment value and risk, conducting thorough cash flow analysis and scenario planning.
  • Maintain and enhance performance models, re-forecast cash flows, and provide updated valuations to support ongoing asset and partner performance evaluation.
  • Oversee the review and analysis of financial reports from partners, ensuring projects stay within budget and identifying opportunities to create value and mitigate risks.
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis on asset management strategies, including debt financing, development, and value-added initiatives, optimizing investment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance reporting systems and create dynamic dashboards for performance monitoring.
  • Prepare and contribute to internal asset management and investor reports, delivering clear, actionable insights.
  • Assist in due diligence efforts for real estate assets, operating partners, and market conditions, identifying new investment opportunities.
  • Perform market research and provide economic insights to inform investment decisions and long-term strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of exit strategies, maximizing asset value while managing potential risks.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate finance, asset management, private equity, or related fields, with experience in large-scale development projects or institutional investors preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, or a related discipline (advanced qualifications such as CFA or MBA are a plus).
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to create robust financial models that support strategic decisions.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with real estate-specific software (e.g., Argus, MRI, RealPage) and knowledge of IFRS and GAAP accounting standards.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, mentoring junior team members and working effectively across diverse teams.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits, partner meetings, and business needs.
