What We Offer
  • A flexible schedule - 2 to 3 shifts per week (3 - 4 hour shifts between 9am and 5pm)
  • Wage is starting at $21 per hour, plus incentive. Earn up to an additional $5 per hour through an incentive bonus based on guest surveys completed, email capture rates, and shift commitment - bringing potential earnings up to $26 per hour.

Position Summary
 
Surveyors play a key role in gathering information on visitors in Whistler. Surveyors collect information by conducting short, face-to-face intercept surveys with visitors throughout Whistler village. The Surveyor role requires mature, outgoing, and knowledgeable locals who enjoy talking with visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a Tourism Whistler ambassador, living our purpose and vision with passion & energy, achievement and respect
  • Collect information from visitors responsibly and independently
  • Must be available two to three shifts per week through the summer (early/mid-May until early September)
  • Shifts are 3 to 4 hours, generally between 9am and 5pm
  • Surveying must be done in all weather conditions
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and comfortable approaching visitors and generating rapport
  • Knowledge of Whistler and surrounding areas
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Must be comfortable collecting surveys outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to operate an iPad to conduct surveys
