Title: Process Engineer

Job type: Full time

Location: Sainte-Catherine, QC

 

The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing projects concerning additions and modifications to the plant's equipment and infrastructure, such as building maintenance, improving the technologies used and maintaining various equipment. He/she will also be responsible for process improvement projects, in collaboration with the engineering and maintenance department. The engineer will be responsible for the schedule, cost follow-up and coordination between the various parties involved (engineering firms, subcontractors and the operations team).

 

The candidate will work directly with the maintenance, operations and health and safety department. He/she will act as a bridge between the various stakeholders of the plant and the contractors, engineering firm, etc.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The engineer will manage various projects ranging from $50K to $1.5M / project annually
  • Perform preliminary or detailed engineering, including budget analyses
  • Produce project schedules and ensure follow-up
  • Support the implementation of new improvement projects
  • Ensure coordination between suppliers / subcontractors and plant managers.
  • Ensure internal coordination between project disciplines
  • Develop technical solutions
  • Follow up on occupational health and safety projects.

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
  • Have excellent analytical and communication skills and be a team player;
  • Have the ability to manage several projects simultaneously, have a good capacity to adapt and be organized;
  • Have a good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, Autocad and SAP (asset);
  • Functional English
  • ASP card (Asset)
