- You are passionate about home staging and interior decorating. You have a keen eye for current style trends and product allocation. You are responsible for decorating and merchandising showroom displays daily, ensuring they are always fresh and appealing. Your regular walk-throughs to assess showroom needs, such as lighting and product requirements, reflect your commitment to maintaining company standards and enhancing the shopping experience.
- With excellent communication skills, you are friendly, courteous, and always ready to assist customers and colleagues. You coordinate seamlessly with the warehouse department for labour support, project updates, and product needs. Your role includes assisting with marketing efforts and in-store signage, as well as maintaining an efficient and orderly storage area and workspace. You successfully execute special projects defined by the Buying Team, Store Management, and Company Merchandising Manager, demonstrating your versatility and collaborative spirit.
Overview:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Showroom Coordinator is highly skilled and motivated. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to the ever-changing retail environment, and exhibiting a passion for home staging and interior decorating. This role demands excellent communication skills, a friendly and courteous demeanor, and the ability to cultivate a consistent, industry-leading, and safe customer experience through visual merchandising and store space planning.
Roles & Responsibilities
The Showroom Coordinator is responsible for:
- Handling many projects simultaneously.
- Adapting to the ever-changing world of retail.
- Passionate about home staging and interior decorating.
- Excellent communication skills, friendly and courteous.
- Cultivate a consistent, industry leading and safe customer experience through visual merchandising and store space planning.
- Manage inventory of both Tepperman’s and The Outlet at Tepperman’s sales floors.
- Decorating and merchandising showroom displays daily with a focus on current style trends and product allocation.
- Conducting regular walk-throughs to assess showroom needs (lighting, company standards, product needs).
- Inventory control and showroom maintenance.
- Assisting with marketing and in-store signage.
- Coordinating with the warehouse department for labour support needs, project and product updates, etc.
- Maintaining an efficient and orderly storage area and workspace.
- Successfully execute special projects as defined by the Buying Team, Store Management and Company Merchandising Manager.
Qualifications
- Interior Decorator or Interior Designer Certification is required.
- A passion for delivering a world class customer experience, ideally with previous decorating or merchandising experience in a retail environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A drive to maximize store earnings potential in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to meet time goals and deadlines.
- Be a self-motivated individual that strives to maximize their results and achieve targets.
- Energy, a positive can-do attitude, and the ability to move at a fast pace
