The Opportunity:


Executes the day-to-day development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement of the organization’s Identity and Access Model to ensure a stable processing environment. Maintains User IDs and privileges in accordance with the users’ job responsibilities and Symcor’s policy and standards. Ensures that access to client systems using client provided access controls abide by client security requirements.

 

This is a hybrid role with requirements to be on site 3 days a week, providing a balance between remote flexibility and in-person collaboration.

 

About The Role:

 

  • Help design, manage, implement, and monitor Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems to ensure they meet policies, standards, and procedures. Suggest improvements for better system reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Analyze current applications and recommend updates to enhance functionality and support.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand IAM needs and implement necessary changes with the development team.
  • Onboard and offboard applications from a centralized repository.
  • Create and update project documentation to ensure smooth handoffs to support teams.
  • Manage IAM processes, including administration, monitoring, and attestation, following Symcor and client standards.
  • Provide first- and second-level support for IAM-related issues.
  • Administer user IDs and roles/permissions across platforms for internal and external users.
  • Support IAM implementation during major application rollouts and assist with data collection for audits and reviews.
  • Work with security staff and project teams to maintain and improve IAM processes.
  • Maintain IAM documentation, including procedures for access provisioning and monitoring.
  • Assist in remediation efforts for access reviews, audits, and compliance checks.
  • Handle client IAM requests, such as changes to procedures and compliance reviews.
  • Participate in data collection for external audits (e.g., SOC1).

 

What You Need to Succeed:

 

Education:

  • Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.

 

Experience:

  • Must have at least 2-4 years of experience in Identity and Access Management in large, mission-critical environments

 

Skill requirements

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft’s Active Directory structure including Organizational Units, , User Accounts, Group Memberships, and access rights.
  • Knowledge of share, file, and folder permissions in Microsoft Windows.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Exchange.
  • General knowledge of O365 and Azure Technologies\Platform
  • Basic knowledge of current and evolving information security, audit and legal standards, and requirements, e.g. ISO27002, PCI DSS
