The Opportunity:

 

As a Senior Financial Analyst at Symcor, you will play a crucial role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making. Your responsibilities will include providing financial support for the maintenance and preparation of pricing, volume and revenue reporting in support of new business development and growth. In addition, this role will support the preparation and analysis of various business cases and the associated financial modeling, under the direction of the Senior Manager, Finance.

  

About The Role:

 

  • Provide financial support for client changes including updates to pricing for existing services and/or pricing for new services
  • Provide support in the development and evaluation of business cases, including but not limited to contract renewals
  • Provide stakeholders with a structured framework in which to provide key financial inputs for the purpose of developing the business case and deal summary
  • Assist in the development of business case modelling leveraging existing templates to support executive level decision making
  • Guide and support the Sales Team to achieve business case sign off following Symcor’s Bid/Contract Approval Process
  • Interact with internal teams on existing and potential customer contracts relating to pricing and revenue analysis
  • Assist in updates to company price files to ensure prices are current, accurate and fall within the customers pricing restrictions
  • Prepare management reporting in relation to:
    • Total contract signings value in relation to annual targets measuring sales team performance
    • Sales funnel reporting and analysis

 

What You Need to Succeed:

 

Education:

  • Completion of College diploma/Undergraduate Degree in accounting, financial management or business administration or other relevant discipline and/or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
  • A recognized accounting designation such as CPA

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis.
  • Experience with computerized financial reporting systems and analytical tools including Oracle, ADI etc.
  • Experience with Financial Modeling and Business Case Analysis.
  • Experience with Profitability Analysis is a plus.

 

Skill requirements:

 

  • System skills that include advanced Excel and Access, including creation of macros.
  • Must possess proven Research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Requires excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills and good presentation skills.
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize work while meeting stringent deadlines.
  • A strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
