E & I - Parts Shipper/Receiver

Surepoint is currently hiring for an E&I Parts Shipper/Receiver to join our team in Grande Prairie! The Shipper/Receiver will be responsible for the daily shipping and receiving of parts. These duties include receiving, signing for parts and components delivered and ensuring the smooth accurate flow of paperwork. Wrapping and securing parts for delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Completing pick-up and delivery of parts, materials, tools as required.
•  Assist with picking and preparing/staging orders for technicians from various locations which include the warehouse and yard.
• Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping, prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents.
• Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances utilizing a forklift.
• Work closely with parts department to ensure parts required are on shelves.
• Maintain an organized warehouse
• Wear proper PPE at all times and observe Health & Safety policies
• Participate in Surepoint's Health & Safety Program
• General shop maintenance including sweep and clean shop floors as required.
• General yard maintenance and cleanup
• Identify and problem solve warehouse issues
• Assist with general labour duties as requested by the supervisor
• Participate in after hours ON CALL schedule as required.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 High School Diploma
• Must have valid Class 5 driver's license and clean drivers abstract
• Forklift training is an asset, will be provided if needed
• Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule (overtime as required)
• Ability to read, write and understand English
• Able to understand and process paperwork as required
• Strong computer skills; Proficient with MSOffice applications
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines
• Able to work within a team environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
