What You’ll Do

You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive Appraisal Reports and Insurance Appraisal Reports for a diverse array of buildings, machinery and equipment across the United States, and occasionally, globally. Your work will involve:

  -  Site Inspections: Travel to various locations to gather detailed information, measurements, and photographs.

  -  Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research and expert analysis to develop solid, defensible value estimates.

  -  Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure accurate and reliable appraisals.

Travel Opportunities

This role offers variety and exciting travel opportunities, with approximately 30-40% regional and national travel required, and occasional global travel. You’ll have the chance to explore new places and various industries while contributing to our success. Therefore, you must reside in the United States and near a major airport.

What We’re Looking For

We seek proactive individuals motivated to deliver on our brand promise and capable of working independently and collaboratively. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, possess excellent research, analytical and costing skills, have a strong interest in national and international business travel, and show eagerness to learn and grow in the appraisal industry.

Your Credentials

  -  Full proficiency in English (additional language proficiency is an asset);

  -  Post-secondary education;

  -  Experience in finance, construction, insurance, auction and liquidation, and engineering are assets;

  -  Appraisal designation is an asset; preference if an American Society of Appraisal (ASA) designation in Machinery & Technical Specialties;

  -  Experience collecting, analyzing and/or costing data;

  -  Experience conducting site inspections in industrial settings;

  -  Understanding building design and ability to read blueprints;

  -  Construction knowledge or Industrial process knowledge is an asset;

  -  Experience with tangible asset costing or valuation models (including industrial processes); and

  -  A combination of education, knowledge and experience will be considered.
