RISK/LOSS CONTROL CONSULATANT – SUBCONTRACTOR

We are currently seeking a high-performing risk/loss control consultant in Canada, preferably in Western Canada, to subcontract with our Professional Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a growing global appraisal company.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will provide a range of risk management consulting services, including site inspections, report creation and advisory services. Additionally, you will assist with collecting insurance appraisal information on a wide variety of building types across Canada. Through site inspections, research, expert analysis and collaboration, you will develop a solid and defensible rationale for the recommendations assigned to a property.

You excel at managing multiple projects with meticulous attention to detail. Additionally, you are willing and able to travel to facilities located across Canada.

You have the following credentials:
  -  Professional designation in the Risk Management field (eg. CRM, CCPI, etc.); 
  -  Post secondary education in the areas of engineering or architecture is an asset;
  -  Knowledge of Building Codes, Fire Code and NFPA Standards are an asset;
  -  Minimum 5-10 years applied experience providing risk management consulting services on a variety of property types and locations; 
  -  Insurance industry knowledge is considered an asset; 
  -  Demonstrates excellent client service and communication skills; 
  -  Solid construction knowledge is considered an asset; 
  -  Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly with Word and Excel; 
  -  Valid Driver’s License, clean driving abstract and access to safe, reliable transportation;
  -  Willingness to travel to client sites, including extended stays; and
  -  Bondable with a clear criminal background check.
