Inventor Lead 

Reports directly to the VDC Director on all matters, regarding the assigned and design issue. The Inventor Lead shall ensure to meet all schedules in a timely manner. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Education 

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology Construction Management or Civil Engineering.

Years of Experience

  • Minimum 5+ Years of CAD Detailing experience using AutoCAD and Inventor. 

Job Specific Duties

  • Utilize Inventor and AutoCAD to develop Inventor models and make sure the drawing/details prepared by detailers align with client models/concept;
  • Utilize Autodesk Inventor to develop Inventor Part models and drawings; 
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of accurate drafting methods, layering, X-References, dimensioning, model space/paper space, viewports and scaling; 
  • Create content for new systems and modification to existing systems within the library; 
  • Work with ILogic tool of Inventor to create panel drawings and associate them with Revit models; 
  • Create BOM for assemblies within Inventor for parts; 
  • Support Project teams and flag any non-compliance found during routine checks of the updated models; 
  • Understand and work with PLM systems to ensure the streamlined flow of information across all teams/divisions within State; 
  • Perform frequent/routine checks of Inventor files used in the library; 
  • Supporting the career development, coaching, and mentoring juniors as and when required; and 
  • Any other tasks assigned by the VDC Director.
