Operational Excellence, Associate Director 

Reporting to the VP of Operations. The Operational Excellence Associate Director will establish the Operational Excellence Program's strategic direction, priorities and objectives. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management or a Related Field. 

Years of Experience

  • 8-10+ years of management experience in a manufacturing plant. 

Director Level

  • Knowledgeable in the industry and knowledge with our products and systems; 
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment; 
  • A hands-on leader prepared to spend time in the facilities observing and driving change, including identifying improvement needs, providing hands-on training to all staff levels and tracking the success of the program; 
  • Develop Your Teams (Hires, develops, and grows employees to meet the Company's talent and skills requirements); 
  • Have a Clear Vision, Communicate it Well and Ensure it's oversight (Develop and delivers a clear and compelling vision that is easily understood and actioned); 
  • Be Inspiring (Leads others with words and actions that are engaging, motivating, and uplifting); and 
  • Maintain Own Professional Development (Seeks to maintain existing skills and learn new skills that are relevant to profession and organization). 

Job Specific Duties 

  • Establish the Operational Excellence Program's strategic direction, priorities, and objectives to deliver annual savings through implementation of metrics, scorecard measuring and tracking progress towards goals and reporting of results for all division; 
  • Develop and execute TQM 'Total Quality Management' play book;
  • Develop and review Quality Assurance processes that include field, drafting, breakdown and production; 
  • Identify Operational Excellence tools to be implemented that best fit the objectives and opportunities at each site or group; 
  • Define and implement data collection systems to ensure consistent reporting of metrics;
  • Train, coach, mentor team members at all levels of the organization on the tools and methods to ensure sustainability of OpEx program; 
  • Design and facilitate mini transformations, Kaizens, training and collaboration workshops;
  • Develop a playbook of fundamentals of State's field Building Envelope Science;
  • Build and train team with vast knowledge on components of building envelope systems; and
  • Any additional tasks assigned by the VP of Operations.
