Position Summary:
- To perform maintenance and repair of all facility, production machinery and refrigeration equipment. Will be working on projects to improve safety, production, and environment at Sofina Foods Inc. (Orlando location). The duties and responsibilities outlined above are representative but not all inclusive.
Major Duties:
- Quickly trouble shoot, diagnose and repair problems as they occur on any equipment or facility.
- Communicate and work in a teamwork environment with other maintenance personnel.
- Work on projects as assigned.
- Follow preventative maintenance procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or designate.
- Work in and promote a safe environment.
- Must work strictly in compliance with all Health & Safety, HACCP and follow all relevant GMP’s.
Qualifications:

- Having an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) license is mandatory for this position. Minimum two years’ experience performing repairs in a manufacturing environment. Mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems knowledge, and an ability to use power and manual tools. Basic computer knowledge and math skills. Ability to communicate in English both verbally, and in writing. If you have an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) license, please attach it to your resume/application.
Working Conditions:
- This position requires 100% physical effort which entails lifting and repetitive movements.
- The work environment is wet, damp, and dusty and refrigerated (50-degree F or less).
- Occasionally working in freezer environment. Warm clothing is required.
- The noise level may exceed 90 decibels. Hearing protection is mandatory.
- The use of safety rubber boots is mandatory. All PPE must be used as required for safety.
- There may be occasional travel between plants.
