Student - Engineering - 8 months

Position Summary:
Reporting to the V.P Engineering and associated directors, the Engineering co-op will be the center point of contact accountable for coordinating processes, managing documents repository, providing administrative duties, assisting in regulatory requirements and supporting the Engineering team on all project initiatives.
Main Duties:
- Manages the communication flow with key stakeholder for several processes such as the Approval for Expenditure Report process ( AFE), the Engineering Request Form process (ER), and the Engineering Master Action List process (EMA) to ensure timely flow of information
- Reviews all documentation for completeness and accuracy while facilitating discrepancies between parties such as finance, payables, engineering and operations
- Accountable for all administration duties pertaining to the AFE, ER & EMA such as initiating a project tracking number, filing, uploading all project documentation addition/changes, record keeping, building a library of both hard & soft files for AFE report, ER form and EMA list and providing repository access to project teams as required
- Assists with project planning, execution, follow-up on quotes and closedown deliverables (e.g., Engineering requests, SharePoint Administration, Project Close documents, etc.
- Manages the coordination of a library of engineering documents in a central repository which include

- Purchasing items
- Equipment and materials assets
- Equipment manuals, drawings ( e.g. die or equipment drawings)
- Facility insurance reports & pressure vessels documents for TSSA
- Technical supporting documents library
- Copies of quotes & proposals for future reference and estimating (What we purchased, when & how much)
- Asset movements; manage & communicate information to finance
- Managing active listing of surplus equipment at facilities

- Assist Project Manager with administrative duties & contractor follow-up’s & request for proposals quotes/process as required
- Assist with the Development of presentation materials
- Assist in the co-ordination of project meetings, conferences, training and events as required
- Create and maintain facility or project reports & assists in regulatory requirements (e.g. MOE Dublin Lagoon QTR & YR reports)
- Manage vendor / contractors listings nationally( who to contact regionally or nationally)
- Other administrative duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or has successfully obtained an engineering degree from a college or university with recognized accreditation
- Strong academic performance in your chosen field of study.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail, excel skills, collaborative approach.
