Key Account Manager - Fresh Poultry

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director, CIE Poultry Sales, the Key Account Manager, Commodity Sales is responsible for managing the full sales cycle (planning-negotiation-logistics-credit management) for the turkey, chicken and pet food sectors. The focus is to develop a rapport with customers and plant personnel
Key Accountabilities:
- Accountable for assigned commodity, industrial, pet food, chicken and turkey account sales.
- Maximize volume and revenue in key assigned and new accounts, while sourcing new accounts.
- Accountable for developing new commodity, industrial and pet foods accounts as required across Canada.
- Accountable for fresh sales and frozen inventory management/sales.
- Accountable for managing the personal/phone sales for assigned accounts.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of Sales and/or Planning experience.
- Preference for experience in commodity sales and account management.
- A proven record of profitable management of accounts.
- Degree / Diploma in a business discipline is preferable.
- Good working knowledge of sales process (prospecting, presentation, objections, close, management and follow up).
