The Toronto office has an opening for a Hydraulic Modeler to join our Municipal team.
Duties:
- Assist in developing hydraulic models for water, wastewater, and stormwater systems
- Work in a team environment on a variety of projects to support project leads in background data collection, preliminary data analysis, GIS mapping, and performing necessary modeling tasks assigned by the team lead
- Support infrastructure assessment/planning studies including Environmental Assessments (EA), Master Plans, capacity analysis, etc.
- Assist the modeling lead with hydraulic modeling and analysis for various groups across the company
- Assist with proposal development for modeling and associated engineering works
- Assist the project lead in preparing technical memorandums/ reports.
- Perform any other technical tasks assigned including field tests, data analysis, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field, from an accredited post-secondary institution
- Registered or eligible to apply with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
- Familiarity with water, wastewater, and/or stormwater systems hydraulics
- Possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with the project team
- Familiarity with commercially available hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software such as InfoWater Pro, WaterGEMS, PCSWMM, and ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro would be an asset
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage deadlines and field test requirements.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral.
