Role Overview

 

The primary function of the Recruitment Specialist is to oversee the full-cycle recruitment process and attract top talent for all roles across the organization.

 

Role Objectives

 

The Recruitment Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the recruitment process, with particular focus on sourcing top candidates, pre-screening, interviewing and assessing candidates
  • Effective manage multiple vacancies across several different business units at any given time
  • Utilize innovative techniques for sourcing candidates, including the use of platforms such as LinkedIn
  • Conducting criminal record checks and preparing offer letters for successful candidates
  • Create and maintain pre-screen and interview guides that customized to specific roles
  • Work with the HR team to train and coach leaders on effective interviewing techniques and best practices
  • Collaborate with HR team and HR Manager to create, update, and maintain job descriptions for all active roles within the organization
  • Assisting HR team with the employee onboarding process, including completion of new hire forms prior to first day
  • Ensure all pre-employment documents are maintained in electronic employee files in the Company Google Drive.
  • Work with Human Resources Manager and HR team to identify top recruitment priorities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including hiring managers, team leads to understand business requirements and deliverables
  • Provide timely recruitment reports to the Human Resources Manager to highlight progress
  • Maintain a current working knowledge applicable employment standards and human rights legislation that may pertain to the recruitment process
  • Maintain confidentiality of all employee and company information
  • Additional Recruitment duties and projects as assigned by the Human Resources Manager

 

Role Qualifications

 

  • 0-2 years of experience in a high-volume recruitment role preferred
  • Bachelor of Business Administration - Human Resources preferred
  • RPR designation an asset
  • Strong passion for talent acquisition and attraction
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and develop connections with candidates
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong time management skills with an ability to deliver results for multiple business units with competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
