Nursing Assistant

The primary function of the Nursing Assistant is to provide support to the medical team to help ensure the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and efficient Medical Office Assistant who loves taking on a hands-on role in a busy fast-paced clinic. 

Role Objectives 

The Nursing Assistant’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

• Bring patient's into treatment rooms and assist with intake process as needed 

• Take new patient history or review previous patient history 

• Prepare patients for their appointment 

• Maintain flow of the clinic by keeping rooms cleaned and filled with patients 

• Assist nurses/physicians as needed 

• Educate patients post treatment when necessary 

• Keep treatment area clean before, during and at end of day 

• Autoclave instruments throughout shift to ensure supplies are maintained for all doctors 

• Assist nurses with administrative duties during the day, including, but not limited to faxing, billing, scanning, and phone calls 

• Ensure treatment rooms are stocked daily 

• Assist with inventory checks, drug logs, fridge temperature log, crash cart inventory, etc.  

• Cover reception area and perform standard MOA duties when needed 

• Participate in monthly product training and customer service training as needed 

• Educate customers on products and services provided by the clinic 

• Perform other duties as requested by management and supervisory team 

Role Qualifications 

• Medical Office Assistant certification preferred 

• 1-2 years' experience in a clinic environment 

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written 

• Excellent time management skills
