Reporting to the Senior Manager of Process and Equipment Engineering team, the successful applicant will assume responsibility for managing the purchase of new equipment – from selection to release to Manufacturing, as well as being responsible for monitoring the performance of existing equipment – with the goal of ensuring that it meets the capacity and availability requirements of the business. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • New equipment planning – from justification, selection, procurement to qualification. All these activities are done in collaboration with the process engineers, manufacturing, R&D and Facilities teams.
  • Developing, maintaining, monitoring, and reporting key equipment performance metrics for the assigned production area and creating related documentations such as maintenance SOP, and equipment control plans.
  • Performing IQ, CQ, on new equipment and helping process engineering in OQ, PQ and creating necessary documentation.
  • Creating specific improvement plans for critical equipment.
  • Prioritizing, planning, and managing projects to maintain and then improve equipment performance.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a role within a manufacturing environment involving processes and/or equipment.
  • Experience with FAT tests.
  • Experience optimizing or improving older equipment.
  • Production equipment purchase experience while ensuring spare parts are also at optimal levels in inventory.
  • Experience with vendor selection, Request for Proposal (RFP) and Purchase Order (PO)
  • Cross functional collaboration across departments

Skills and Additional Requirements:

  • Must have
    • Previous process or equipment engineering experience.
    • Familiarity with SECS/GEM protocols.
    • Experience in equipment data integration to database.
    • Excellent data analysis, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to prepare and present progress reports, document experimental work through technical reports.
    • Demonstrated ability to partner successfully with other groups to build strong peer relationships and meet customers’ needs.

Good to have

  • Knowledgeable in semiconductor fabrication processes such as dicing, lapping, polishing, metallization, etc.
  • Good project and time management skills and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, a demonstrated positive attitude, and self-motivation.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Process Engineering or a related field.

Expected Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000
