RAM is a project delivery firm specializing in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering and Advisory services across Canada. RAM is searching for a motivated and experienced individual in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will be an individual that enjoys a challenging, professional, and dynamic workplace and contributing to the success of a hardworking team.

Key Responsibilities

Issue and test various relay settings, starting with substation feeder protection.
Review and support substation designs.
Distribution protection reviews.

Support Gas and third party projects.
Support Senior Engineers as required.
Perform fault studies, system protection analysis and provide protection relay settings for transmission, distribution, and generation systems.
Substation planning and designing.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and professional engineering license with 4 to 7 years experience in system protection and substations (transmission, distribution and generation).
A strong understanding of utility operations, including knowledge of protective relay, regulator and fuse settings in addition to protection schemes and coordination.
Experience with substation design, high-voltage equipment, AC/DC auxiliary systems and equipment monitoring devices plus knowledge of applicable engineering standards
Knowledge of engineering studies software (Aspen OneLiner) and ability to program protective, metering and control devices plus familiarity with ION meter programming, CYME and ARCFM would be an asset
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills are essential
