We’re looking for our next DevOps Engineer. Could It Be You?
As a DevOps Engineer on the Database team, you'll be instrumental in implementing core database infrastructure components for cloud-native applications. You’ll develop tools and services that empower our Engineering teams, collaborating across departments to influence the design and delivery of our database infrastructure.

Automate cloud database infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code.

Develop toolsets and services for seamless delivery of applications and infrastructure components.
- Collaborate with QTG's infrastructure teams to promote best engineering practices, ensuring stable and high-performance database environments.

Champion “Production Quality” and create cutting-edge cloud database infrastructure through developing automation.

Develop and enhance tooling for administration tasks, disaster recovery automation, and developer support.

Lead and engage in technical discussions to aid in system design, analysis, and troubleshooting.

Help engineering teams to develop, test, debug and release scalable, resilient and highly available cloud-native applications quickly.

Offer expert-level knowledge during incidents or other special events when on call.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts and solutions, including public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.

Experience with at least one of the predominant public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
-
Hands-on experience with container technologies, like Docker runtime and Kubernetes orchestration. Knowledge of Google Kubernetes Engine or OpenShift is nice to have.

Ability to write code in Python and at least one other language (i.e Golang, NodeJS, Bash, etc.)

Experience building CI/CD pipelines using eg. Gitlab CI
-
Experience working with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.

Exposure or familiarity with the Linux Operating system
-
Experience in interacting with critical database systems
-
Possess excellent organizational, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to write clear technical documentation.

Maintain a good grasp of monitoring and alerting systems.

Experience with creating developer tooling (Python, Bash, cicd pipelines)

Experience with GCP

Experience working with database engines such as MySQL, MongoDB
