The Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the enterprise risk management framework and for providing effective risk management and support across the Questrade Financial Group of companies.

What’s it like working as a Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management at Questrade?

Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Risk Management, this role is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the enterprise risk management framework and for providing effective risk management and support across the Questrade Financial Group of companies.

Working closely with partners and stakeholders, the highly analytical and strategic Senior Manager, ERM will be responsible for leading and advancing enterprise risk management methodologies, assessments, governance, training and reporting.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Leading the development, implementation, and alignment of enterprise risk management programs across the enterprise, overseeing all aspects of risk identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting.
• Championing and evolving risk reporting, effectively communicating complex risk information in a clear and concise manner.
• Advancing the development and implementation of risk metrics to monitor Risk Appetite across the enterprise.
• Developing and delivering compelling presentations and reports to senior management and the board on the status of the ERM program and key risk issues.
• Collaborating and supporting businesses in risk assessments of key functions, strategies and new initiatives.
• Staying abreast of emerging risks and industry best practices, proactively adapting the ERM program to address evolving challenges.
• Leading the development and roll out of risk training and education across the enterprise.
• Fostering a strong risk culture throughout the organization through effective communication, training, and engagement initiatives; Leading and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to risk management.

So are YOU our next Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management? You are if you…

• Hold a university degree, preferably in a business, risk management, compliance, or quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, finance)
• Have 5+ years of risk management experience in the financial services / fintech industry
• Have experience with multiple risk disciples (eg. Credit Risk, Cyber & IT Risk, Operational Risk, etc)
• Have experience with PowerBI or other data visualization platforms

• Possess strong communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Are an entrepreneurial thinker who has a proven track record of influencing change through strong working relationships
• Are able to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Have an ability to see the big picture while being comfortable with day to day responsibilities and translate the big picture to highly informative dashboards and reporting for senior leaders
• Have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Are a strong critical thinker who has the ability to gather, synthesize, document and

present information in a succinct and organized manner

• Have advanced organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
• Are creative and open-minded with an attitude to drive and promote positive and productive change
• Are a proactive self-starter with an ability to work independently
