We’re looking for our next Accountant. Could it Be You?
The purpose of the Accountant role is to provide support to the Finance department - Brokerage Accounting team in managing and reconciling Questrade’s financial accounts and month end closing.

The Accountant handles a variety of tasks and provides support to Questrade’s Finance Brokerage Accounting team and other departments in relation to client account transactions and the month end closing.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Reconciling New Issue reporting and book related journal entries
- Booking monthly intercompany entries
- Preparing ADR Client Charges and reconciliation
- Reviewing Money Market file and booking interest earned on T Bills
- Preparing other reconciliations to support month end close
- Reviewing and distributing Finance department documents
- Assisting with monthly closing reports and reconciliations
- Compiling financial data and maintaining spreadsheets
- Participating in various finance projects such as Blackline implementation
- Other duties as assigned
So are YOU our next Accountant? You are if you…
- Hold a Post-secondary degree / diploma in Accounting or a related field
- Have 1-2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping at a CIRO member firm
- Have advanced MS Excel, NetSuite, Google Workspace, SQL, Broadridge BPS, PostEdge skills
- Have excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision
- Are able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exhibit sound judgement, adaptability, flexibility, and demonstrate strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent interpersonal skills
Additional kudos if you…
- Have completed the Canadian Securities Course
- Are enrolled in an Accounting program
Additional information:
- Please note this role will be required to be in office 3 days a week
