Your goal is to provide end-to-end project management for Infrastructure, CyberSecurity, and Financial Transformation projects. You will collaborate and align end-to-end project milestones and goals with multiple stakeholders, technology team and executives. You will be responsible for successfully planning, designing, executing, monitoring, controlling and launching initiatives in a complex iterative environment. 

What is it like working as a Senior Project Manager at Questrade?


Reporting to the Program Manager, PMO, you will be responsible for leading high-impact, cross-functional projects within our technology and business teams. You will manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation to deployment, ensuring that all deliverables meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements. This role requires a strong focus on technology implementations, operational improvements, and stakeholder engagement across various levels of the organization.

 

So, are you the ideal candidate for our Senior Project Manager role? You are if you:

 

  • Lead and manage multiple large-scale, complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and business needs.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, risk management, and communication strategies.

  • Drive stakeholder engagement and manage relationships with internal and external partners.

  • Identifying project timelines and dependencies

  • Champions and promotes our PMO Agile practices by improving on agile project management processes within and outside of the PMO

 

Need more details? Here’s what we’re looking for:

 

  • Provide end-to-end project management; this includes developing a detailed plan, work back schedules, project estimates, status reports and continuously updating internal and external teams on progress. 

  • Act as the key contact for internal stakeholders, and a conduit between stakeholders and technology team.

  • Hold project meetings to ensure projects meet deadlines and specifications. Prepare project tracking, reports, and analysis. Ensure adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.

  • Perform risk and issue tracking and reporting, status gathering, and report development.

  • Identify project risks and work with the Program Manager to identify and implement mitigating strategies as required.

  • Maintain good knowledge on current and emerging technologies with ability to apply the relevant learnings to ongoing initiatives.

  • Graduate in computer science, information technology, business management or equivalent.

  • 7+ years of experience managing large-scale, complex projects in technology or financial services.

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).

  • Experience with FinTech, financial services, or related industries is a strong asset.

  • Experience working with project management tools such as ClickUp, MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, as well as G Suite.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience engaging stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying risks and resolving issues.

  • Extremely organized and have excellent time management skills.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
