Job type: Contract (seasonal)
Contract: From October 2024 until December 24, 2024, with the possibility to extend
Location: 8330 Chester St, Vancouver, BC V5X 3Y7
Working hours: Prefer full time availability. If part time, require 3 full days, Monday to Friday between 8 AM and 4:30 PM.
We seek full-time employees who can commit to the entire duration of the contract.
The expected pay range: hourly rate of $18.45
Summary Statement
The Shipper in the fulfillment area prepares shipping labels and coordinates orders to be shipped promptly and efficiently. This is a casual position, lasting until December 2024, with the possibility of extension.
As a Shipper, duties include but are not limited to:
- Packing customer orders and double checking the items to ensure the order has been fulfilled prior to shipment
- Printing shipping labels and coordinating with shipping couriers
- Accurately package, label and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges
- Work with other shipping clerks to see that all invoices are handled promptly, and packages are shipped and stored properly
- Consistently meeting daily production targets
- Maintaining a “team-centered” atmosphere while being able to work independently
- Performing other duties as assigned
All applicants MUST have:
- Availability on Monday – Friday at 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Prefer full time availability. If part time, must be available at least 3 full weekdays.
- Afternoon and weekend shifts may be scheduled based on volume
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up about 40 pounds
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
- Previous shipping and receiving experience is an asset
- Ability to navigate on Shipping software and willing to learn to the new system.
- Previous experience with Excel is an asset
- Complies with all company GMP’s; comply with SQF policies and procedures

- Ability to work under pressure, especially during Purdy’s Peak Seasons
- Continuous Improvement and constantly finding new ways to improve the team process flow
- Flexibility with duties, operational and administrative and ability to multi-task
- Create and build relationships with the warehouse personnel

- Ability to lift 40lb boxes
- Helps with training of seasonal staff
