Applications Engineering Manager – Antec Controls

Our team is growing, and we are looking for an Applications Engineering Manager. In this role, you will be leading a team who closely work with both our Design and Sales teams to provide support with the integration of our products to meet the customers’ needs. Our team is passionate to serve with a high sense of urgency and find solutions that meet the mark.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Foster a culture of accountability, passion, service and learning
• Directly supervise and mentor members of the Applications Engineering team, providing guidance, coaching, and support
• Hire, train, and evaluate performance of team members
• Communicate with our customers to determine, define and manage project requirements

• Prioritize and coordinate projects
• Deliver solutions on schedule and within budget
• Stay up to date with trends in tools, technology and industry
• Improve processes and introduce new tools to create efficiencies
• Participate in budget planning and reporting on department metrics
• Work collaboratively to ensure smooth execution of special applications

The ideal candidate for this position will have: 

• A College Diploma or University Degree in Engineering or equivalent

• At least 4 years of experience with established leadership skills working with or withing an engineering team
• An aptitude and desire for customer service excellence
• A basic understanding of HVAC, controls and mechanical systems would be an asset
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• A high level of critical thinking and accountability
• The desire to strive for simple solutions
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time for trainings and customer visits
• A drive to use data to inform decision making with a bias toward action
• Active listening skills and the ability to communicate at all levels, both written and verbally
• The ability to
  • deliver timely and candid feedback with the intention of being helpful;
  • be straightforward with the intention of building trusting, long-lasting partnerships;
  • seek to understand before reacting;
  • remain flexible in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;
