Job Summary

As a Software Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting thorough software testing to ensure that quality standards are met, and functionality is aligned with specifications. Your objective is to ensure the Software Quality Assurance processes are well defined, executed and continually monitored. You will be accountable for driving quality and champion defect prevention/early defect detection and maximizing test coverage. Testing may be conducted on new software as well as updated versions.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:

· Design test plan and test cases from functional specifications that cover user experience, functionality requirements and performance goals.

· Update, Review and Execute manual test cases.

· Identify, report, and verify software defects working with developers and subject matter experts to help reproduce and resolve bugs.

· Help recommend and implement new QA tools and processes

· Leverage API testing tools

· Participate in our agile process by being an active contributor in daily standups, sprint kick-offs, demonstrations, and retrospectives.

· Perform exploratory testing in absence of documentation.

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

· 2 + years’ experience in the Software quality assurance industry

· Certificate in Quality Assurance or Technologist's Diploma or a satisfactory mix of education and practical experience.

· Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

· Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.

· Experience with regression testing and defect tracking.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and document defects effectively.

· Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

· Extremely detail-oriented and an analytical thinker

· Experience with automated testing tools is considered an asset.

· Experience testing ERP systems is considered an asset
