Payroll Administrator (12-Month Term)
Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, you will be heavily involved with unionized hourly employees within the manufacturing sector.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the Senior Payroll Coordinator.
- Assist with end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 1200-1300 Manitoba unionized manufacturing employees; paid bi-weekly.
- Communication with union(s) regarding employee demographics, changes or deduction discrepancies.
- Ensure the processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, and issue ROEs are processed accordingly, accurately and on time.
- Maintain time away from work requests for all hourly union employees in Manitoba.
- Administer data entry of all hourly employees’ changes, terminations into the benefits system (Manulife).
- Ensure employee files are current and organized with all relevant data.
- Maintain internal and external stakeholder communication.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Experience and working knowledge of Dayforce.
- Knowledge of Collective Agreements.
- Knowledge of Employment Standards.
- Attention to detail, especially in documentation and data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to deal with sensitive situations ethically.
- Solid experience with MS Word and Excel software.
- Ability to adapt and learn new processes quickly.
- Deadline driven.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner designation preferred or currently enrolled.
