IT Infrastructure and Operations Manager
The Manager of Price’s IT Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) oversees and directs the day-to-day activities that ensure systems, services, and infrastructure work reliably and securely across all of our locations in Canada and the U.S. The IT I&O Manager leads a team of technicians that develop and implement networks and servers, respond to user help desk requests, and monitor system stability and performance. The role also directly supports end users by handling escalations, resolving user issues, and monitoring the performance of business-critical systems to prevent delays and outages and quickly resolving ongoing issues.
The goal of the IT I&O Manager is to deliver high quality, innovative, cost-effective IT infrastructure in support of the corporate business and across all locations corporate wide. This is done through guidance and supervision provided to network and systems administrators, analysts and technicians plus coordinating support functions, internally and with vendors, under the responsibility of this role. The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

Monitor servers, networks, and systems for performance issues and irregularities, both on-premises and offsite.

Assess logs, user reports, and system data to identify areas for improvement or upgrades.

Direct IT technicians in support tasks, system upgrades, and project directives.

Assign tasks based on department needs and manage technician schedules (including on-call rotations).

Contribute to IT policies, procedures, and SLAs to ensure reliability.

Provide training and documentation for users and staff.

Conduct performance reviews and address development needs.

Assist in vendor contract negotiations, evaluating equipment/services, and selecting the best options within budget.

Oversee system and server upgrades, ensuring data stability, security, and process efficiency.

Introduce methods to streamline upgrades and maintain usability.

Manage business continuity and security tools, ensuring operational effectiveness.

Handle operational costs, forecasts, and asset management, including inventories and lifecycle documentation.

Oversee user account administration, permissions, and access rights.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:

Minimum 5 years of relevant management experience.
-
At least 10 years of experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide infrastructure in both on-premises and cloud environments.

University degree or college diploma required, preferably in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Proven leadership abilities for effective IT personnel management and departmental priority setting.

Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members, management, and end users.

Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly in addressing user issues with software, hardware, and servers.

Strong financial management and budgeting skills to oversee departmental budgets and capital expenditures.

In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft product stack (Windows Server, Windows 10/11, Intune, Azure, Entra, Active Directory, E3/E5 licensing).

Familiarity with Business Continuity concepts (RPO/RTO) and related software (Veeam, Zerto, Azure Site Recovery).

Network expertise including capacity planning, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), zero-trust network exchange, and medium-to-large-scale wireless deployments.

Understanding of edge computing, hybrid cloud, co-location data centers, and virtualization technologies (VMware).

Experience with security products and solutions (EDR, MDR, NDR, Managed Risk, SOC).
