Position Overview
We are looking for a Part-Time Deli Cook to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and consistency of our deli offerings while ensuring an excellent customer experience. The ideal candidate will be reliable, independent, and passionate about food preparation and service. As needed, this position may also involve cross-training in Retail Clerk duties to support store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare deli items following standardized recipes and procedures.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and create production lists.
• Innovate new recipes and products to enhance the deli program.
• Assist customers and provide product information.
• Conduct inventory counts as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to sanitation standards.
• Serve customers from the deli showcase as needed.
• Follow all food safety protocols, including FIFO (First In, First Out) and proper hygiene practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of seafood products and food preparation techniques.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Food Safety Certification is an asset.

Food Safety & Hygiene Requirements
Employees working in food handling areas must:

• Maintain cleanliness and wear sanitary attire.
• Secure hair and wash hands regularly.
• Remove any jewelry that could pose a contamination risk.
