Shift 1: Monday to Friday 6am to 2:30pm
Shift 2: Monday to Friday 2pm to 10:30pm
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the organization’s warehouse operations, including but not limited to receiving, inventory control, picking, loading, safety, and security. They coordinate operations with 3rd-party loading services and ensure customer support through accurate, on-time shipments. They are also responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and directing the activities of the warehouse personnel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring an organization's employees adhere to policies, processes, and standards of performance and behavior in the pursuit of daily work.
- Develop and maintain proper practices and methods that adhere to Metro Supply Chain as well as our client standards.
- Support rolling out new processes to the team and ensuring training is supported to the ground level.
- Train, and supervise reporting personnel in all designated areas.
- Lead inventory processing, to ensure product availability for timely customer shipments and ensure compliance with the organization’s lead time goals
- Ensure all inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics documentation is performed with accuracy & efficiency
- Maintain targets, objectives, and goals throughout the warehouse and driver return process
- Implement/supervise safe practices and ensure all are compliant with Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Ensure runs are 100% and stage in correct order to maintain an efficient morning load out
- Supervise all dock searches
- Maintain warehouse product placement
- Lead process for loading recycles & manage loads
- Ensure drivers are following all warehouse procedures when dropping & picking up product

- Staging in appropriate area
- Sorting of all waste
- Ensure safe practices
- Coordinate communications effectively with internal and external clients
- Assist in annual reviews for all warehouse associates
- Ensure national level reports are completed on daily basis
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or a similar leadership position with proven success
- College diploma in Business Management or 3+ years of relevant experience in the Supply Chain/Distribution/Transportation industries
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal

- Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and leadership
- Time management skills and the ability to delegate
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills – solution oriented
- Adequate knowledge of warehouse data systems
- Outstanding customer service skills and leadership
- Able to conduct effective dock meetings with all warehouse personal & motivate staff
- Ability to train employees on new procedures
- Providing feedback on group and individual performance to management according to standard operating procedures
- Ability to provide constructive criticism
- Ability and desire to learn new methods and systems
- Participating in the hiring, evaluating, training, restructuring, and occasional termination of team members
