JOB SUMMARY

The Order Fulfillment Specialist I is responsible for the accurate storing, picking and packing, shipping and receiving of product to meet company standards of safety, security, and productivity by performing the following duties. All Order Fulfillment Specialist I employees will be cross trained on the different job responsibilities that support the needs of the client including Order Fulfillment Specialist II (OFSII). 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Shipping/Receiving 

  • Load and unload shipments in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Sign for inbound shipments once accurate product counts are confirmed.
  • Assist Delivery Service Specialist with loading their vehicles effectively and efficiently with all the necessary signed documentation.

Storing

  • Move product to designated area as directed by the Red Prairie Warehouse Management Information System with the proper material handling equipment.
  • Replenish Pick Zones (Full case and PTL) as prompted by the WMS
  • Efficiently stack and store product as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prior to product storage, count all product, ensure accuracy and check all shipments for damage.

Quality

  • Report shortages, damages and mis-shipments to immediate Supervisor.
  • Check or audit of outbound order accuracy.
  • Compare the quantity, quality, labeling and address with customer's orders to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct.

Equipment

  • Load, unload, move stack, and stage product and materials using material handling equipment - Reach, Dock Stocker, Walkie, slip sheet, box clamp).
  • Use Red Prairie Radio Frequency ID equipment for picking, receiving, storing and load functions, as required.
  • Maintain all equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
  • On a daily basis, inspect and complete the pre-inspection Material Handling Equipment report and submit to Supervisor.

Inventory

  • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee accurate inventory control and security.
  • Assist in daily physical inventory counts and audits as required.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation is maintained.

Pick to Light Order Fulfillment (OFSII)                      

  • Efficiently manually pick customer orders for shipments, ensuring the correct quantities using “pick to light” system.
  • Effectively pack customer orders in designated totes with the proper labels and documentation.
  • Carry or transport completed orders to shipping locations with materials handling equipment.
  • Marks and labels totes with identifying information prior to shipment.
  • Weighs totes ready for distribution to minimize errors and ensure accurate carton counts.
  • Work area; remove cardboard boxes/ trash as necessary throughout the course of the workday.           

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Forklift Certification from a recognized training provider
  • Minimum two (2) years of warehouse experience
  • Previous experience with Warehouse Management Information System, Radio Frequency ID (RFID) such as Red Prairie an asset.
  • Must be able to operate all material handling equipment including Reach and Walkie.
  • Must able to operate Box Clamp and Slip Sheet Dock Stocker attachment.
