Position Summary

Reporting to the Stores Manager, the Stores Rotables Clerk is responsible for the repair and overhaul, repair orders and shipping of rotables, externally and internally; maintaining and adjusting inventory levels to meet with the demands of shop usage, ordering, receiving and issuing stock and matching receiving reports to vendor’s invoices and forwarding to designated personnel for approval of payment. As well, they will be responsible for filing paperwork in the Purchasing office, transferring parts and checking parts/supplies.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Ensure that repairables are sent out in a timely manner as necessary, working with the Stores Manager and Director of Purchasing on all issues that come up
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers and vendors via phone, e-mail and/or fax as necessary
  • Maintain an organized work area
  • Effectively co-ordinate with other purchasers for specific supplies and vendors
  • Effectively co-ordinate with shops and personnel for repairable requirements
  • Ensure that all repair orders are accurate and include all necessary information
  • Have an understanding of TSOs and Life Limits and certification paperwork
  • Maintain and adjust inventory levels to meet with the demands of shop usage, order, receive and issue stock
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Customer Service experience considered an asset
  • Aviation experience considered an asset
  • Experience with Inventory Management Software considered an asset (WinAir preferred)
  • Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset

Working Conditions

  • Physically able to perform all listed job duties
  • Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
  • Work in a shop environment with full range of movement including, but not limited to, bending, sitting, standing, lifting to a maximum of 50lbs, pushing and pulling daily
  • Various shifts at a fast pace in order to meet service level requirements of the airline
  • Repetitive tasks
