Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Maintenance Programs, the Fleet Manager 705 is responsible for supporting Perimeter Aviation’s maintenance control system as it relates to the applicable fleet type.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Authority to remove aircraft from operational status
  • Support the maintenance control system for the applicable fleet type
  • Coordinate production of the monthly reliability report and weekly repeat snag report
  • Assist in the review of applicable ADs and SBs for possible implementation
  • Provide technical assistance related to recurring defects and reliability
  • Maintain configuration and modification planning and budgeting for the applicable fleet type
  • Participate in monthly reliability meetings
  • Oversee, coordinate and report major repair and modifications and distribute associated paperwork
  • Act as liaison for the OEMs and operational entities
  • Coordinate and review engine health monitor trending
  • Continuous review of aircraft reliability trends and initiate changes to the maintenance program for improvement
  • Support for maintenance program change and development on type
  • Support training syllabus for elementary work and AMO training
  • Manage power-plant, propeller, landing gear and other sub-component repairs
  • Review Rotable Parts requirements
  • Coordinate and represent at heavy maintenance visits (HMV)
  • Flight permit signing authority
  • Tolerance approval authority
  • MEL extension approval authority
  • Initiate maintenance department Safety Bulletins and Technical Information Bulletins
  • Support for SDR submission
  • Participate in the Company’s Safety Management System program
  • During Fleet Manager’s absence, these responsibilities may be appointed subject to acceptance of the Director of Maintenance – Programs.
  • Assist and step in for department as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications

  • Valid AME M2 license with appropriate endorsement
  • 5 years’ experience on DHC-8
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
  • Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset

Working Conditions

  • Physically able to perform all listed job duties
  • Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
