BC Place is hiring a Coordinator, Business Development & Event Sales.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

 

The Business Development & Event Sales Coordinator will assist the department with event sales and bookings, suite sales, Triple Play coordination, contracting and other administrative duties.

 

Event Sales

  • Support team sales functions as required such as preparation of site inspections, research space and date availability, pricing, issuance of contracts, etc.;
  • Support the prospecting of all business segments including and not limited to meetings, trade & consumer shows, corporate, banquet and film business;
  • Update and support the redevelopment of sales collateral as required;
  • Provide sales reports and post event financial reviews to Senior Manager and Director;
  • Draft and prepare correspondence, presentations and reports including proofreading, formatting and editing;
  • Continuously monitor event information in Momentus, the event business management system, to ensure details are current;
  • Field inbound leads including web/reception inbox, ensure enquiries are directed in a timely manner to the appropriate departments; input all leads into Momentus;
  • Create bookings, prepare proposals, license agreements, addendums and floor plans.

Suites sales and administration

  • Assist in managing suite sales for all events;
  • Administer suite contracts (inclusive of managing leads, issuing contracts and collection of payments);
  • Ticket delivery of suites for all events;
  • Support Event Sales Managers in facilitating fulfillment of event-day needs for suite clients.

 

Tiple Play

  • Assist in administering event day operations;
  • Support the delivery of information required for in-house digital requirements to operators;
  • Coordinate with events and food and beverage teams to ensure event day digital signage requirements are delivered based on client’s needs.

 

Administrative Support

  • Provide support to all department members as required;
  • Maintain and transcribe department meeting minutes and distribution from department meetings;
  • Other duties as required.

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

 

  • Minimum post-secondary education, with business, marketing, sport management and/or related degree preferred;
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role preferred;
  • Experience using Momentus (Ungerboeck), or a similar event business management system an asset;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other related software;
  • Experience managing contracts and administration;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team;
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks at one time;
  • High level of analytical and interpersonal skills, including strong written and verbal communication;
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure;
  • Commitment to providing excellent guest services;
  • Ability to work flexible hours supporting events including evenings, weekends and holidays;
  • Drive by service excellence.

The salary range for this position is $55,744 - $69,680

 

  • Offers will be in line with PavCo’s internal pay equity and qualified candidate’s experience and education.
  • Salary discussion and overall compensation package will be presented during initial phone interviews.
