Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations—processing transactions, preparing internal and external reports, reconciling accounts, and contributing to financial planning. Your expertise will be key in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations and helping us achieve our goals.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Prepares, records and posts journal entries.
- Supports billing, receivables and payables management.
- Updates monthly working papers in preparation for financial statements.
- Prepares monthly amortization schedules for contributions, revenues, and prepaid expenses.
- Conducts variance analysis on the profit and loss statement and key balance sheet accounts.
- Liaises with external auditors and prepares audit schedules and supports as requested.
- Prepares and validates monthly account reconciliations.
- Prepares bank reconciliations and bank journal entries.
- Assists with the preparation of schedules that support note disclosures to financial statements.
- Assists with payroll GL reconciliations, cost allocations and journal entries.
- Arranges for on-time completion and filings of GST, PST, NRT tax returns, and statistics questionnaires.
- Assists with the preparation of monthly consolidated financial reporting package.
- Generates internal and external financial reports.
- Assists with capital expenditures reporting, fixed assets additions and disposals.
- Leads the preparation of consolidated Fixed Asset Continuity schedules and Capital WIPs
- Assists with ad-hoc accounting duties and special projects as requested.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in event-based environment.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.)
- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
- Thorough knowledge of project management tracking tools, presentation programs and ability to prepare graphs, charts and visual aids and best practices to communicate with stakeholders
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; strong computer skills in accounting software, complex spreadsheets, work order systems, other related complex data entry.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Manage multiple issues, set priorities, work independently and effectively under pressure.
- Model professional, ethical and collaborative behaviours.
- Work effectively with minimal supervision to complete assigned tasks with high degree of accuracy, efficiency, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Solid knowledge of PSA and GAAP standards.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments including various projects.
- Positive outward attitude, proactive and creative looks to seek out solutions and improvements.
The salary range for this position is $66,983 – $83,729.
- Offers will be in line with PavCo’s internal pay equity and qualified candidate’s experience and education.
