In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with the General Manager of Corporate Services to drive the Town's strategic priorities forward. Job Duties:
- Providing project management expertise to support and recommend solutions to meet corporate key strategies; Designing and developing the overall project delivery strategy including creation and execution of project plans and risk management by monitoring relevant risk factors that impact project direction and progression; Providing project support to corporate project leads and project sponsors to ensure corporate effectiveness is achieved; Providing strategic support, critical analysis, guidance and advice to the leadership team.
- Identifying, building and fostering internal and external relationships for project implementation and success outcomes; Providing strategic guidance to project leads and teams regarding corporate goals and objectives in a professional and timely manner.
- Developing reports, proposals and making recommendations to management for effective decision-making; Preparing reports and updating to senior management and council including briefing notes.
- Managing and monitoring project’s full life cycle of expenditures and revenue to meet corporate policies and guidelines.
- Monitoring and analyzing local, regional, and provincial legislation, council agendas, and reports to identify potential impacts on the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma preferably in Business Administration, Public Administration or equivalent in related field.
- Three (3) years’ experience in an advisory, project-based environment.
- Proven Project management experience.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is considered an asset.
- Practical knowledge of Municipal, Regional, Provincial and Federal Governments and applicable Legislations is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated political sensitivity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Detail oriented, well organized and able to prioritize complex tasks and meet critical deadlines.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft office/software
Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, including but not limited to a Criminal Record Check, in accordance with the duties of this position.
Salary Range: $86,450.36 to $101,134.69, Band 10 on the Town’s 2025 Pay Grid, plus a comprehensive benefits package
