About the Role

We’re seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our team! The Marketing Specialist will support the Marketing team in delivering activities designed to grow awareness of the brand, help position OCS as a leader in responsible consumption and social responsibility, educate Ontarians on the benefits of buying legal cannabis and driving conversion through OCS.ca.  The Marketing specialist will actively provide reliable, timely and efficient management support for all marketing initiatives across the team and will lead the execution of key projects to ensure success.

 

 

About Your Day

  • Work under the direction of the Senior Marketing Manager to implement and execute initiatives that promote social responsibility, cannabis education and drive revenue
  • Manage implementation of the B2C email marketing plan including but not limited to, featured product selection, content inclusion, internal stakeholder review, deployment, results reporting, cross functional communication and mitigating IT challenges.
  • Manage execution of the annual launch calendar of education and social responsibility marketing materials on the print on demand vendor platform.  Responsible for briefing in all required creative assets, managing timelines and internal stakeholders, developing the supporting marketing plan and launching the content on the 3rd party site.
  • Work cross functionally to receive all internal stakeholder alignment and approvals.
  • Contributing to the development of marketing initiatives including communicating with designers, editors, and delivering materials to suppliers internally and externally
  • Support the development and execution of the experiential marketing plan with the lead agency and Senior marketing manager.   Will be required to attend weekly marketing agency status and support where needed to ensure activations successfully launch into the market
  • Provide cohesive, collective feedback to the marketing agencies after key campaign presentations.
  • Responsible for ensuring all work is completed on time and within brand standards.
  • Responsible for reporting the results of key initiatives: B2C email newsletter, experiential marketing activation, and print on demand results
  • Utilize analytics and past performance to evaluate the success and opportunities for improvement across all initiatives
  • Present key findings on projects to relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Ensuring consistency in tone, look, feel and accuracy of all marketing materials.
  • Ensuring all material is translated into French
  • Receiving internal approval on all marketing assets prior to deployment from legal, communications and social responsibility team (where applicable)
  • Support in the development of the full year planning cycle for B2C email, print on demand vendor and experiential marketing
  • Build and manage contingency plans if needed
  • Develop and manage workback schedules for all key initiatives
  • Manage and support financial administration such as invoicing and internal trafficking.
  • Responsible for coordinating marketing team engagement events
  • Work with the merchandise team to ensure the marketing showcase room is updated quarterly
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual planning process and budget tracking
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement process improvement initiatives

 

 

About You         

  • Post secondary education in Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years working experience in marketing with significant experience partnering with multiple marketing agencies (creative, media, experiential, shopper, videographers, B2C email, etc)
  • Fulsome marketing experience working in either above the line or below the line marketing roles
  • Experience building strategy and executing a B2C email program
  • Experience in regulated industry is preferred
  • Background in shopper marketing is an asset
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound communication both written and verbal
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, including MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
  • Ability to analyze data and make decisions quickly
  • Proactive in finding solutions to optimize projects

About the Job

  • This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule. The current in office requirement is a minimum of 3 days/week (may be more depending on business needs). The OCS office is located near York Mills and Yonge Street. However, OCS reserves the right to change this policy and its office location at any time.

Compensation

The target hiring range for this position is $73,113- $78,000. This is a pay grade 7 BU role, with a salary range of $73,113- $89,361. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
