Position Overview: As a Food Service Supervisor at The Explorer Hotel, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our food service department. This includes supervising staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining high-quality service standards, and contributing to the overall success of our dining establishments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Train and mentor staff to deliver exceptional customer service and uphold food quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed.
• Schedule staff shifts and manage staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
• Resolve customer complaints and address any issues related to service or food quality.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and update menus, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection for guests.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food handling practices.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle challenging situations.
• Food Safety Certification is an asset.
• Experience with scheduling and inventory management.
