QA Inspector - Floater

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector to join our team in a floater role, providing coverage for team members on vacation across multiple locations in the Lower Mainland. This position involves performing in-process inspections, ensuring products meet quality standards, and verifying compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) before product release. The QA Inspector will also monitor production staff and facility adherence to GMP regulations while upholding the company’s core values. The role will require flexibility, with shifts that may vary between mornings, afternoons, or graveyard, depending on the needs of the team.

You’re good at:
- Performing in-process manufacturing and packaging inspections with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Conducting thorough finished product inspections and ensuring products meet specifications before release.
- Monitoring and adhering to GMP standards, ensuring compliance across all processes.
- Problem-solving and identifying areas for improvement in SOPs and work procedures.
- Communicating effectively in both verbal and written forms across all levels of the organization.
- Managing time efficiently to meet deadlines for daily output and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Adapting quickly to change and being flexible in a dynamic work environment.
What you have:
- Completion of two years of post-secondary education in a science discipline, OR a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Natural Health Product (NHP), food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), particularly as outlined by the Natural and Non-prescription Health Products Directorate (NNHPD).
- Proficiency with computer systems, especially Microsoft Office applications, for documentation and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle (preferred).
- The physical ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
