Manager - Operational Procurement

We are seeking applications for the role of Manager, Operational Procurement. In this position, you will ensure a continuous supply of materials necessary for production and sales. You will oversee the Materials Scheduling team and support the Director of Global Procurement. Your duties will include managing the introduction, modification, and phase-out of purchased materials, as well as the ongoing inventory management of raw materials and packaging. You’re good at:
- Leading and managing teams, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Collaborating with various departments to foster expertise and knowledge sharing.
- Creating and implementing KPIs, MBOs, and other metrics to drive performance.
- Researching and implementing procurement best practices.
- Resolving quality, pricing, logistics, and delivery issues with suppliers.
- Managing supply agreements, purchase orders, and product life cycles.
- Promoting a culture of professionalism, operational excellence, and safety.
What you have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
- Completed courses on supply chain with APICS or SCMA or equivalent.
- A background in business analytics (preferred).
- At least 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing company.
- Experience with Syspro ERP system (an asset).
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, MRP, BOM structure, and ERP systems.
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and accountability.
- Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, supporting, mentoring, and managing individuals.
- Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision.
