Senior IT Business Systems Analyst (MS Business Central)

Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) is a national, not-for-profit, shared services organization that supports hundreds of health care providers across Canada, as well as child welfare agencies and other public sector organizations. MMC provides value-driven contracting and procurement solutions for medical/surgical supplies, pharmaceutical products, local sourcing, capital (equipment, FF&E and redevelopment) and nutrition solutions. Other services include data analytics, in-hospital support, warehousing/logistics, technology, procure-to-pay, and accounts payable.  

With an emerging focus on sustainability and reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, MMC is actively supporting the creation of a resilient value chain that incorporates environmental, social, and economic best practices. Based in Burlington, ON, the organization also has offices in Toronto, Thunder Bay, Kingston, Brantford, London and Chatham, and a distribution centre in Oakville.  

We are currently recruiting for a full-time IT Business Systems Analyst to support our IT Member Services team.  

 

Position Overview

The Senior IT Business Systems Analyst role serves as the bridge between business challenges and technological solutions specific to Dynamics 365 Business Central. This role requires an adept understanding of Dynamics 365 Business Central with an area of expertise in Procure to Payment and supply chain to support the business needs, analyzing processes that enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall business performance.  While having a keen eye for detail and a strong grasp of both technical and business domains in Dynamics 365 Business Central.

They are responsible for ensuring that business requirements are effectively translated into workable technological solutions and critical to ensuring that technology investments deliver the intended business value to MMC Customers and support MMC's organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage small to medium-sized IT business initiatives/projects or components of larger projects, including the track, monitor, and communicate status against the project plan, requirements, quality measures, standard processes, and milestones.
  • Lead detailed business process analysis and propose system enhancements and solutions to leadership.
  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders (i.e. MMC, Hospitals, Third-Party Vendors), in addition to coordinating with IT developers and testers to ensure business needs are met.
  • Driving the adoption of best practices in business analysis and systems design.
  • Produce high quality deliverables including facilitating workshops/meetings, business requirements documents, project plans, test plans, test scenarios/cases, functional designs, knowledge transfer materials.
  • Provide quality assurance of documentation, testing, configuration and development completed by third parties.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for implemented systems, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments or upgrades.

 

Qualifications and Skills

 

  • University Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Analysis, Business or related field.
  • 7+ years of related business systems analyst experience within an enterprise business application environment.
  • Proven system experience supporting, enhancing, and administrating business systems solutions.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, writing business cases and functional specifications.
  • Proven experience managing delivery of projects.
  • Workshop facilitation and meeting leadership experience, including provision of appropriate documentation.
  • Experience working in successful third-party vendor relationships.
  • Understanding of industry business technology.

Preferred

  • Experience working in supply chain and/or non-public sector organization.
  • CAPM, ITIL, CCBA and any other related certification would be considered an asset.

Travel

 

  • Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.
