Position Type:

Full-time Permanent

Hourly Rate:

$24.72 plus $2.12 shift premium (26.84)

Reporting:

Shop Foreperson

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 12:00pm

Responsibilities:

In the position of Utility Automotive HVAC Technician. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems on all company vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Yard, shop and office upkeep and maintenance and cleaning of company vehicles
  • At times, you may be required to assist mechanics with some basic maintenance items.

Requirements:

The successful applicant will be comfortable with prioritization, planning, coordination, and organization, with an ability to respond and adapt in changing, high pressure environments. This individual will be able to assess problem situations, recognize issues, and use judgment to create solutions that meet required standards.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s licence
  • Being a team player with safe working habits and good communication skills.
  • Previous heavy truck tire repair experience will be considered a strong asset for this position.
  • HVAC Certification an asset, company willing to train to obtain for the right candidate.
  • You must be available to work late when trucks are behind schedule, as well you may be required to work weekends and holidays.
