Our Company is currently seeking a self-motivated, hardworking Mechanical Engineering Summer student to join our Winnipeg office. Located just minutes from the Winnipeg Airport, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to grow and develop their professional career in the consulting industry.  The ideal candidate takes initiative, is interested in pursuing a career in engineering consulting and is willing to take on responsibility as their experience progresses. You will have the opportunity to learn about the consulting industry and mechanical systems, and further develop your AutoCAD and Revit skills.

Hours: 37.5 hours a week

The Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist with the design of mechanical HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems in commercial, institutional, residential, public and private facilities
• Assist Engineers and Designers with the preparation of technical drawings
• Operate computer-assisted design (CAD), Revit and drafting workstations
• Attend and contribute to internal office and project related meetings
• Participate in site visits
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

• Currently pursuing undergraduate studies in Engineering, preferably Mechanical
• Working knowledge of experience with AutoCAD and/or REVIT an asset
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• The desire to work in a team-based environment
• Good communication skills
• Proven ability to meet deadlines
