Position: Electrical Designer
Location: Downtown Toronto
Objective: Manage and oversee electrical tenant and special projects across various sectors, including retail, commercial, institutional, and education, from inception through design and construction, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, and budget. Act as a key liaison throughout construction, including site visits and meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems (lighting, fire alarms, power distribution) and develop drawings/BIM models.
- Collaborate with architectural, structural, and mechanical teams to maintain drawing accuracy.
- Participate in project team design meetings both internally and externally and assist with project planning.
- Conduct site surveys and attend on-site construction meetings as needed.
- Provide technical and administrative support, addressing technical inquiries from contractors.
- Maintain client relationships and ensure high-quality, timely project delivery.
- Assist with tendering processes and coordinate resource needs with project management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience designing electrical systems using AutoCAD or Revit.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and construction documentation.
- Experience with site investigations, bid processes, and client interaction is a plus.
- Eligibility for P.Eng
