The Opportunity:
McElhanney has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst / Project Controller to join our growing internal project management office in the Vancouver region. This senior business and project controller role is a multi-faceted role that will focus on supporting, coordinating and managing day-to-day operations of digital transformation PMO and associated implementation activities associated with digital technology ERP projects. This will report to the Program Director/Senior Project Director of the PMO and will work closely to ensure appropriate project controls are in place including processes to manage risks, decisions, resource management and integration of activities across many different workstreams.
This role will work closely with the business and operational leads to gather, analyze, research and develop reports, presentations and other key deliverables associated with technology projects like requirements, charters, status reports, decision records, etc.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with project manager(s) and PMO to create key project artifacts like project charters, scope documents, status reports, templates and other presentation materials.
- Track, manage and seek resolution of action items, decisions, changes, risks and issues promptly
- Work closely with project leads and SMEs to support the execution of the project plan (scope, schedule) aligned with the goals and objectives.
- Accountable and responsible for managing the end-to-end process around risk and issues management, task management, decisions and change requests.
- Responsible for managing the end-to-end project transaction from invoice, and billing to budget upon direction of the project manager
- Requirements gathering: Conduct interviews, gather and document requirements in a clear and comprehensible manner
- Strong presentation skills to develop materials that is impactful and appropriate for different stakeholder audiences.
What You'll Bring:
- 10+ years working directly within a project management office as part of a complex digital and technology transformation project team.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience: Sales, CRM, Financial Operations, Field Services, and Project Management
- Experience with Project Management & SW Development tools e.g., Jira, Smarsheet, MS DevOps, etc.
- Professional services and/or consulting experience would be ideal.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills using Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant tools to make impactful presentations, reports, that will drive decisions and outcomes.
- Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources

What Can We Offer You?
The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $120,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
