Your responsibilities as a Linux and AIX System Administrator:
- Ensure configuration, installation, update, and maintenance of Linux and AIX operating systems.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance operations to ensure system stability and security.
- Create, manage, and deactivate user accounts, as well as define appropriate permissions and privileges.
- Install, update, and manage the software and packages required for the proper functioning of systems.
- Monitor server performance, diagnose problems, and make adjustments to optimize performance.
- Implement security measures such as security patches, firewalls, and security policies to protect systems against threats.
- Implement regular backup strategies and ensure data can be restored in case of system failure.
Your experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, including 8 years as an AIX administrator.
You stand out for:
- Bilingualism in French and English, as you will collaborate with resources outside of Quebec.
- Leadership skills to guide and influence technological decisions and inspire the team.
- Strategic thinking to assess the long-term needs of the company and propose suitable technological solutions.
- Problem-solving ability to identify and resolve technical challenges efficiently and innovatively.
- Collaboration skills to work in a multidisciplinary team, promote cooperation, and synergy among different departments and stakeholders.
