Reporting to the Engineering Manager of Air Conditioning & Energy Solutions, this position is the key to Commercial Air Conditioning’s continuing success and growth. The candidate must possess strong communication and technical skills.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with design engineers in laying out projects with LG as basis of design, utilizing our LATS design program (LATS-HVAC / LATS-CAD / LATS-Revit)
  • Provide application and design support to generate favorable LG specifications with design engineers
  • Assisting engineers in energy consumption modeling for LG VRF versus competitive VRF and competitive traditional HVAC designs
  • Prepare and assist in the development and introduction of new HVAC products in Canada
  • Provide updates regarding Canadian Federal and Provincial HVAC System rebates
  • Assist Air Conditioning & Energy Solutions Business Manager in preparing reports regarding engineering work done in Canada
  • Assist in managing Canada Global pipeline opportunities and provide leads to Regional Sales Engineers

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Application Engineer
  • Knowledge of VRF and LEED certification
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit is an asset
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience presenting to higher levels within the organization, distributor management, engineers, developers, and contractors
  • Soft Skills: teamwork, leadership, decision making, customer oriented, execution (results oriented, interpersonal skills/communication)
